Ubiquiti finally releases UNVR stacking

Earlier today, Ubiquiti released a new software update for the UNVR and UNVR Pro, with UniFi OS version 2.5.11. The new update improves a number of things such as adding the ability to now tell the user if there is an issue with their hard drive for example. The main feature of this update is the addition of NVR stacking.

UNVR stacking has been in beta for around two months and today’s update adds support for it. There are a few limitations however. For example, UNVR stacking only works on the UNVR Pro for now with plans to add support for the standard UNVR model in an upcoming update. It also only works two UNVR Pro units, down the line Ubiquiti is planning on adding support for more units.

NVR stacking basically joins two units together, improving device performance and storage capacity. So in theory, a lot more cameras will be supported and managed by one single GUI.

UniFi OS 2.5.11 is out now for the UNVR and UNVR Pro. To update, log into your device and click the update button as this update has been released straight to GA.
