Starting today, Twitter has started to roll out its new, revamped Twitter Blue subscription. As promised by Elon Musk, the new plan includes access to being verified for the first time, also bringing a boost to replies, mentions and search for those users who are verified. Twitter Blue is also now more expensive, priced at $7.99 in the US and £6.99 in the UK, billed per month. As well as being verified, users will now see half of the adds, be able to post longer videos and much more.

For profiles that are already verified using the old system, there isn’t any visual difference between a user who has paid for Twitter Blue, vs being verified using the old system. It’s only until you click on the blue badge does it tell you how that user obtained the badge. For example, below is Elon’s profile which was verified a long time ago, vs our official @the_interface_ Twitter account, which we have signed up for to test it out.

It isn’t clear how long this will be showing up for, is unknown. However, for now this is the only way to tell if someone is a Twitter Blue member vs a previously verified user.
