The filming for Top Gear UK has been paused indefinitely, and will reportedly not be returning to BBC One this year following Freddie Flintoff’s car crash. Flintoff had a serious car crash in December last year at the Dunsfold test track in Surrey on 13th December 2022 where he was airlifted to hospital. His son Corey, said that his dad was “lucky to be alive” following the accident. Flintoff suffered facial injuries and broken ribs following the accident and since then, BBC officials have been investigating the incident.

The BBC was preparing series 34 and the filming has since been paused indefinitely and a decision is pending whether the show should be restarted.

The latest series of Top Gear, series 33 aired between October and December 2022. The current, revamped lineup consisting of Paddy McGuinness, Chris Harris and Freddie Flintoff was revealed back in October 2018 just before Series 27.
