Alta Labs introduces new S12 Distribution Switch

Alta Labs is busy expanding out its line of cloud managed network switches and today, the company has launched a brand new twelve port SFP distribution switch, with 12 SFP+ ports, 240Gbps of switching capacity, bluetooth for fast adoption, 802.1X authentication, and IGMP snooping plus more.

Alta Labs has also said it has included the necessary brackets for two S12 switches to sit side by side on a 1U rack shelf.

During its live stream, it was confirmed that it uses a Realtek RTL9313 chipset.

Not much else is known about the S12 Distribution Switch, with Alta Labs due to release a full data sheet pretty soon.

Alta Labs has a US price of $299, with international pricing coming soon.
