Apple announces dates for WWDC 2021

Apple announces dates for WWDC 2021

Today Apple has announced the details for WWDC 2021, which as usual is taking place in June and for the second year running, the event is fully virtual like last year. This is now the 32nd WWDC Apple has hosted and due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Apple has chosen to make the event online only, which means the $1,599 attendance fee for developers is not required.

The event is taking place between 7th and 11th June, with the Keynote taking place on the first day, which Apple uses to announce its new operating systems for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch and Mac. Judging by the efforts Apple made last year, the State of the Union address is also virtual, which keeps it inclusive as are all the of the developer sessions, which means anyone can watch them.

Apple is expected to announce iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS 12, tvOS 15 and watchOS 8. You can be sure to follow along the event here on A&T Tech and during the keynote, over on our A&T Tech Live Twitter account.
