Apple Maps now available on the web

After almost ten years of Apple Maps, Apple has finally launched a web version that is available for everyone The service is currently in beta only at can be found at beta.maps.apple.com. Interestingly, maps.apple.com just takes you to the product page for Apple Maps but it's likely once the service leaves beta that Apple will change this redirection.

The new web version of Apple Maps works just like it does on the macOS app, wit support for walking and driving directions only for now and guides. As of writing, you can't log into your Apple ID on the service, something that will likely be added. This would give you access to things like previous searches, saved addresses and the ability to send directions to an iPhone.

Apple Maps on the web only works with Safari and Chrome on Mac and iPad, not iPhone. On Windows, it works with Chrome and Edge. Apple does have plans to support more browsers in the future.
