Apple announces WWDC 2022, Keynote happening on 6th June

Apple has this week announced the dates for WWDC 2022. The 33rd annual event will take place as usual in June, between Monday 6th June and Friday 10th June with the main keynote taking place on the first day where Apple is expected to announce all of its consumer facing releases and updates.

Like the past few events, this year’s WWDC will be held digitally with no planned event for people to meet up. However, Apple is planing to allow some students and developers to visit Apple Park on 6th June to watch the keynote and the State of the Union address. However, space for this will be very limited and Apple will take applications from people.

For the keynote on the Monday, Apple is expected to announce the first details around iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, tvOS 16 and watchOS 9. Apple might reveal some details about a new Mac Pro too with Apple silicon, but at this stage this is just a rumour.
