Apple Music is raising prices for its student plan in some countries

Apple has quietly raised the prices of its student plan for Apple Music in the US, UK and Canada this week. The increase is very small, but at this stage it is not clear when this was changed and for what purpose, considering that it is now more expensive than Spotify Student Premium.

In all three countries, Apple has raised the price by $1 and £1, so here in the UK it used to cost £4.99 per month, but it now costs £5.99. Same in the US and Canada – used to be $4.99, now $5.99.

However, at the moment Apple Music Student does come with Apple TV+ tacked on, but is a “limited-time offer” currently.
