Apple very likely to announce new Mac models next week

Earlier today, Apple's SVP of Worldwide Marketing, Greg Joswiak teased on X that some new announcements are coming next week with the not so subtle hint to 'Mac your calendars'. Apple has been expected to launch new M4 powered Mac models at some stage later this year, but as always - knowing exactly when is the challenge. Just a few weeks ago, a YouTuber from Russia had seemingly got hold of a M4 MacBook Pro way ahead of schedule and it is likely that this model will be unveiled next week.

However, next week it seems that there won't be a media event as such, instead at start of the week Joswiak said that there will be continuous announcements. So far, we know that on Monday, iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1 will be available but then Apple could start announcing new Mac hardware and other developments on Monday too.

Apple is expected to launch new MacBook Pro models, a spec bump for the iMac and an updated Mac mini, which is supposed to get quite a big design change this time around. Thanks to all the advancements Apple has made with Apple Silicon, this could give them a real oppurtinity to change the form factor. There are rumours floating around that the new Mac mini could shrink to around the same size as an Apple TV. Apple is also expected to increase the minimum amount of RAM on all Mac models from 8GB to 16GB.
