Apple Music may be coming to Google Home soon

Apple Music may be coming to Google Home soon

Apple, after a long, long time is starting to crack open sections of itself. Just recently, AirPlay is suddenly making its way to Smart TVs, as is the iTunes movie library to Samsung smart TVs of all things and at the start of December last year, Apple Music was made available on the Amazon Echo platform.

And now, by the looks of it – (there isn’t any official note from Google or Apple on this one) Apple Music may be making its way to Google Home. A reader for MacRumors spotted the listing within the Google Home app on iOS this week.

Update 15:25 GMT – However, while writing this post – VentureBeat have spoken to Google and they have mentioned that the support for Apple Music extends only to the Google Assistant and there is no current announcement around supporting Apple’s music streaming service on Google Home devices.

“Apple Music is currently only available for Google Assistant users on mobile phones. We have nothing to announce regarding updates to Google Home.”
