Apple releases a new ‘Tracker Detect’ app for Android to help locate a rogue AirTag

Apple has this week released a new app on the Google Play Store which helps Android users find out when an AirTag is nearby or that could be stalking them. Up until now, the ability to get alerted to such events have been only available on Apple devices.

Apple says that the app will be able to help Android users know when an AirTag is nearby or any other device that uses the Find My network, such as Chipolo trackers and more. The app will also let Android users play a sound on a nearby AirTag and then if it is maliciously following them, instructions on how to disable the AirTag.

The app can be downloaded now from the Google Play Store.
