Apple releases iOS 11.2.1, fixes HomeKit bug and iPhone camera issue

Late yesterday, on the 13th Apple released iOS 11.2.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The new update brings a fix for a vunrability in HomeKit, which could allow users to get unauthorised access to control smart devices, which were connected to the HomeKit platform, devices like locks, lights and thermostats.

Apple did also fix and issue they had on the server side, but it looks like iOS 11.2.1 fully corrects the issue.

Camera issue

MacRumors shared some more information shortly after the update dropped that the update also fixes and issue with the camera and its ability to autofocus on the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. Some readers of MacRumors had shared their issues to the site, saying that the camera on the newer iPhones seems to have difficulty focuses properly when taking a photo, on the iPhone X it would even swap between the two lenses.

According to the site, the latest update seems to have resolved the issue.
