Alta Labs launches its first 48 port PoE switch

Alta Labs S48-APOE Switch

Alta Labs has released its first 48 port PoE switch, having previously had a relatively small line up consisting of an 8 port model and 24 port version. Just this week the company revealed a new 12 port SFP+ switch which should be available soon.

The S48-APOE as it is called features 32 1Gbps ports, 16 2.5Gbps ports and 4 10G SFP+ ports for uplinking and downlinking. All 48 Ethernet ports have 802.3at (PoE+) capability, with a 740W PoE budget.

The S48-APOE also features bluetooth setup with the mobile app and can be managed by the Alta Labs controller, either in the cloud or by using the on premise server that the company sells.

The new S48-APOE is on sale through third party distributors, with pricing not yet available.
