Audi RS1 been given the go ahead by Audi bosses

Regardless of the fact that the Audi A1 is related to the VW Polo and Skoda Fabia, it is a extremely nice car and the price really reflects that but now the Audi bosses have approved the development of a RS1 hatchback.

In the past Audi has long had the RS skunk works, very much like Mercedes’ AMG, Ford’s RS and BMW’s M division. Nearly every model of Audi has a S or RS model, S being a more sporty version and RS being almost rally spec and usually means a V8 is included. The RS3, RS4, RS5, RS6, RS7 are the most well known. The upcoming RS1 hatchback is supposedly coming next year and will have a 280bhp engine and is rumoured to start at £30,000 or more.
