Best Buy will start selling Apple Watch in early August

The Apple Watch, so far has only been on sale through Apple themselves or in Selfridges in London but in the beginning of August the new smartwatch from Apple will go on sale in Best Buy – bringing the device to initially 100 stores.

Best Buy will be offering the Apple Watch in 100 of its stores to start with, but later on it will expand into 300 stores in total – over the next months. The retailer will be selling the Apple Watch Sport and the Apple Watch as well as stands and watch bands.

Starting Aug. 7, Best Buy will be the first national retailer, other than Apple Stores, where customers can buy the Apple Watch. It will begin to arrive in more than 100 Best Buy stores and will also be available on BestBuy.com. Another 200 of our stores will have the Apple Watch in time for holiday shopping.

“The Apple Watch is an important addition to an emerging product category, and we know our customers want it,” said Jason Bonfig, senior category officer at Best Buy. “We are excited to bring Apple Watch to more consumers, especially with the holidays coming up.”

The Apple Watch was announced back in September 2014 and then went on sale in April 2015, the device is now available in nineteen countries with more being added such as New Zealand, Russia and Turkey.
