BMW sold more EVs than Audi and Mercedes-Benz combined last year

BMW has shared its sales figures for 2024, revealing that it has seen a “a significant increase” in its EV sales for last year. BMW owns Mini and Rolls-Royce, but the figures released don't even take those into account.

BMW sold 368,475 electric vehicles worldwide in 2024, which is more than what Audi and Mercedes managed to do combined last year. Audi sold 164,000 and Mercedes 185,059. BMW has lots of electric models on offer, with the large flagship iX, i4 saloon, i5, i7 and many smaller EV SUVs too.

Compared to 2023, BMW saw a large jump in sales in 2024 of 13.5%, whereas Mercedes saw a decline of 23.1% and Audi saw a drop of 8%.

Mini also saw a large increase from 2023 to 2024, with 56,171 electric vehicles sold, which is up by 24.3% compared to the year previous.
