BMW will be making an electric 3 Series

BMW has recently confirmed that it’ll be launching a fully electric 3 Series, as part of its rollout of EVs. The company has also said it will have 15 EV models in production by the end of this year.

BMW currently has the BMW i4, BMW iX and Mini Electric – the company will expand with electric versions of the BMW 5 Series, BMW X1 and the BMW X3.

However, for the time being the new electric 3 Series won’t be coming to the UK and Europe, instead launching in China first, with a laugh expected for later this year. It’ll likely come to the UK and Europe at some stage. The car won’t be named i3 in China.

BMW hasn’t done many styling changes between the combustion version and the new electric version, the radiator grille has been blanked off and the exhausts from the standard car have been removed.
