By the end of this week, around 100 Apple Stores in the US will be open again

By the end of this week, Apple is going to reopening 100 of its stores in the US. This will mean nearly half of the 271 stores Apple has in the states, will be open. In a report from The Verge yesterday Apple confirmed this to them. By the end of the week, Apple will have 130 stores open in the US with a limited service set, which will priotise customers collecting orders.

Some stores, when they reopen – will only allow customers to come to the road side to collect items. Other locations will allow customers into the store, albeit with a occupancy limit.

In a statement from Apple to The Verge yesterday, it said:

“This week we’ll return to serving customers in many US locations. For customer safety and convenience, most stores will offer curbside or storefront service only, where we provide online order pick-up and Genius Bar appointments. Others will be open for walk-in customers and we encourage everyone to check their local store webpage for more information about hours at their preferred location. Customers can also visit apple.com for support by phone or chat. We are committed to reopening our stores in a very thoughtful manner with the health and safety of our customers and teams as our top priority, and we look forward to seeing our customers again soon.”

Apple, talking to The Verge

By the end of the week, Apple will have stores open in the following states; Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Only one store in New York will be opening with more to come.

Apple will also require customers who are entering the store to be wearing face masks.

In other parts of the world, such as here in Europe, Apple has been slowly opening stores up again. A few weeks ago, locations in Italy have been opening up, same in Germany and Austria whereas in the UK, no retail stores have opened up yet. Just this week, Apple Stores in Japan have been reopening.
