Chrome OS now has a Google Now launcher

For Chromebook and Chromebox users who are running the Chrome OS beta now have a brand new feature to test on the operating system. The Chrome Launcher with Google Now is coming to the platform. This is basically a new tab page which displays apps, a search bar and now Google Now inline. Google Now can display flight information, reminders, appointments, travel information and more.

Also within the software update, Chrome OS now has the ability to change time zones whilst travelling. Material Design, albeit only in the Files app is slowly arriving on the platform. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can change Chrome channels by going to the Settings page and the wait for the update over the next week.
