‪Three‬ owner now agreed to buy O2 for £10 billion

Since January, the possibility of O2 and Three joining forces has been rumoured but now the owner of Three has agreed to purchase the bubbly network for £10 billion.

BT has recently had an interest in EE which is currently the biggest network in the country – but when O2 and Three join, that may cause some issues for EE. If BT do actually purchase EE, then the UK will have three companies providing huge networks, with a few virtual networks form Tesco, Virgin and Sky.

This agreement could take around a year, so for the time being – you won’t see any changes yet.
