Electric Range Rover now has a waiting list of 57,000

Electric Range Rover

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is due to put the new all electric Range Rover up for pre-orders later this year and the list of people waiting has grown to 57,000, up from the 38,000 we reported on in June 2024. Land Rover hasn't revealed any specifications or pricing for the new EV, but the list continues to grow.

Jaguar itself is also devolping its own all electric car, with the Type 00 concept being revealed in December 2024 and will launch in 2026.

Thanks to the interest seen for both the Type 00 and the electric Range Rover, JLR is now looking to recruit more EV technicians, with 50 headed to Solihull and 100 in Wolverhampton. The roles needed relate to battery pack and EDU design as well as maintenance for automated equipment.

Nigel Blenkinsop, Executive Director of Industrial Operations

"Investing in people and the latest technology is at the cornerstone of our Reimagine strategy. With the transformation of our factories of the future now well underway, we’re now looking for talented technicians with a passion for sustainable innovation to help support our growth."
