Fiat has recently debuted the all new 600e crossover, a brand new EV which is going to go head to head with the likes of the upcoming Volvo EX30 and the Kia Niro EV. Being a brand part of Stelantis, the 600e shares the platform from the Jeep Avenger, utilising its battery technology and more. This means a 54kWh battery pack with 249 miles of range. The Fiat is front wheel drive only, with 154bhp and 192lb ft torque.

Fiat will not be offering the 600 with a combustion engine from the initial launch, it’ll be electric only in most markets. However, Fiat has said that the platform can have an engine at some markets will have a hybrid variant. For a combustion alternative, the 500X will still be offered in the UK – but for how long remains to be seen.

The 600 is pretty similar in size to the 500X, with the Fiat badge up front replaced with 600, much like the 500. The boot space is ample, at 360 litres which is more than the upcoming Volvo EX30. Inside, it resembles a blown up 500e, with a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the infotainment, with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two spoke secreting wheel, keyless entry and wireless phone charging.

It is understood at this stage, that the Fiat 600e will go on sale for just under £40,000. Considering that the current 500e starts from £31,195. UK orders will start later this year in autumn, with the deliveries starting in early 2024.
