Ford Sync 3 will be available in Europe this summer

Ford Sync 3 will be available in Europe this summer

Ford have been slow at adopting new technologies really in years gone by, but to be fair the company has been making some big strides recently with its Ford Sync in car infotainment system, while Sync 1 and Sync 2 have been impressive in their own way the latest iteration Sync 3 really leaps forward with a much better UI for the Ford section and while it still doesn’t really look that great in terms of design, it is much more capable than before. What’s most interesting however is the addition of CarPlay and Android Auto from Apple and Google and theses systems are integrated into Sync 3 to all users can pair their smartphones up to their car and get a relevant experience for that specific phone and features for CarPlay such as integrated Apple Music, phone calling and Apple Maps and Android Auto has phone calls, Google Maps and more.

Apart from much enhanced smartphone support, Ford have seriously improved Sync, in version 3 Ford have added five more European languages with support now for Czech, Danish, Norwegian, Polish, Swedish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and British English. Synch 3 will be first available on the Mondeo, S-Max, Galaxy and in time the Kuga. Ford Sync 3 will be initially available in Europe.
