Google Home and Home Mini now on sale in India

Following in Amazon’s footsteps, Google is now the latest company to offer a smart home assistant in India, with the popular Google Home and Google Home Mini now on sale in India as of today.

The news comes from Google focused news site, Android Central who have also reported that at lauch the native language, Hindi isn’t supported but will be added via a software update “later this year.”

Pricing and support

The full size, original Google Home will cost ₹9,999 which is around £110 / $154 and will only come in white. The smaller Home Mini will cost ₹4,999 £54 / $77 and comes in white or black.

Offering a product in a new country is easy enough, but taloring it to the localised market is a bit harder, so while Google is offering its own Play Music, Indian streaming services Saavn and Gaana are offered at launch.
