Google Pixel now features lift to wake

Google Pixel now features lift to wake

Google stepped into the phone hardware business with a big step, the Google Pixel phones are the best Android phones you can buy right now and even though they are made by HTC and not Google – Mountain View still has full control over the software.

The Pixel phones run pure Android, with no extra carrier and manufacturer garbage software to slow it down and also Google can give the Pixel the latest features exclusively until the other OEMs update their phones.

Lift to wake

A handful of Android models have had differing features over the past few years, one of those is lift-to-wake. Simply lifting the screen lights up the screen allowing you to glance at notification and the time. Also with iOS 10 Apple have added this functionality to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 by utilising the motion co-processors.

Now Google have added the same lift-to-wake feature to the Pixel and Pixel XL as well as double-tap to check phone.
