HomePod mini delivery times slip into next year in Europe and UK

HomePod mini delivery times slip into next year in Europe and UK

The HomePod mini went on sale earlier this month, alongside the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini and within not much time, the estimates for delivery had slipped a few months ahead but now this week, estimates for delivery stretch into January 2021. Here in the UK for example, if you ordered one today the delivery date is ’15 Jan – 21 Jan.’

This is the case too in France and Spain – but in Germany it is even longer.

This lack of supply is most likely down to the overwhelming demand and popularity for the HomePod mini, when the first version launched back in 2018, it was very expensive for what most people thought a ‘smart speaker’ should cost, even though it offers a very premium audio experience. The new HomePod mini is just $99 / £99 and seems like it makes a good impulse purchase or gift for Christmas.
