HomePod price reduced from £319 to £279

Apple today has reduced the price of the HomePod in most markets around the world by around £40 in the UK, and $50 in the US.

The HomePod has been on sale now for little over a year, and according to AppleInsider who have received some inside information, the cost reduction is a permanent one and this is due to manufacturing savings at scale.
