How to watch Apple TV+ shows

How to watch Apple TV+ shows

Apple TV+ has been out since November last year and due to how Apple names its devices, apps and services – Apple’s streaming service it can be little confusing as to what is what and how to watch the new shows.

First of all, what is Apple TV+?

Apple TV+ is a video streaming service from Apple, unlike Netflix who does both produce originals and licenses other content, Apple TV+ only contains Apple original shows. The service debuted with a small selection, The Morning Show, See, For All Mankind and others, since then more TV shows, documentaries and films have been produced.

How much is the subscription?

Apple TV+ is £4.99 a month here in the UK, or $4.99 a month in the US. However, if you purchase a new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV or Mac – Apple is giving a year free away of the service. If you haven’t purchased a new device recently, then a free seven day trial is offered too.

Do I need an Apple device to watch the shows?

Not at all, that may be the case for other Apple services but with Apple TV+ and Apple Music for that matter, the service can be used on other devices.

Apple TV+ can be accessed via the Apple TV app, which can be found on Apple TV streaming boxes, iPhones, iPads, iPod touches, Macs and the web via tv.apple.com as well as on a large variety of smart TVs, Amazon Fire devices and Roku devices.
