Intel announces new 10th generation processors – ‘Comet Lake’

Yesterday on Thursday, Intel introduced its new 10th generation of Intel Core processors which hold the name ‘Comet Lake’ and are designed for use in desktops.

As with the last generation, there are new i3, i5, i7 and i9 versions and right at the top is the new flagship Core i9-10900K which has ten cores and a clock speed of 3.7 GHz and can go all the way up to 5.3 GHz on single core clock speeds. This whole range is still based on the Skylake architecture and this is now the firth iteration of that, which is on a 14nm process.

With ‘Comet Lake’, Intel is introducing a huge 32 new processors and go from a new Celeron to the top of the line i9 we mentioned.

For a full breakdown of every new processor, check out this post from AnandTech who do a very good job of explaing everything.
