Jaecoo 7 UK pricing revealed, first deliveries in January 2025

Jaecoo J7

Chinese car manufacturer, Jaecoo - which is the sister brand of Omoda has today announced that its first car to be sold in the UK has now become available to order. At the same time, the UK pricing has also been revealed.

Jaecoo unfortunately doesn't have a pure EV on sale in the UK yet, but the Jaecoo 7 is available as a pure ICE model, or as a PHEV. The petrol model comes with a 1.6-litre engine, and the PHEV adding a pretty large 18.3kWh battery pack to give it a 745 mile range.

For the petrol Jaecoo 7, that engine develops 147 PS (145bhp) and 275Nm of torque. However, officially it achieves only 37.7mpg. The PHEV is slightly better, although not class leading. On paper, it makes 403mpg with the battery fully charged and 47mpg if the battery is fully depleted. However, in reality it might get around 50mpg.

Jaecoo has also added various driving modes too, with sand, mud, snow and off-road.

Inside, the Jaecoo 7 has a high level of kit included as standard, with a 14.8-inch infotainment screen, 10.25-inch screen for the driver, heads-up display and 50W wireless phone charging too.

Pricing in the UK starts at £29,435 for the 2WD petrol, £35,065 for the PHEV and £32,850 for the 4WD petrol.

The order books are open now in the UK and the first delervies to customers will start in January 2025.
