Jaguar launches new updated E-Pace

Jaguar launches new updated E-Pace

Today Jaguar has updated its mini SUV, the E-Pace – which despite its name is not Jaguar’s electric SUV, this is of course the I-Pace. On the face of it, this update looks like a face lift with updated bumpers, new wing vents, LED headlights with a new look – which are also standard on the whole range this time.

There are more changes here, other than looks. Jaguar has migrated the E-Pace to its new platform ‘PTA’ which is what the Range Rover Evoque and the new Land Rover Discovery Sport is based on. Previous Jaguars have been based on the Ford related D8 platform.

The new PTA platform allows for hybrid power trains, both the Discovery and the Evoque were updated back in August with new mild-hybrid options. The new E-Pace has seven engine options, six of which are hybrid, with a 48v system.

Inside the E-Pace, Jaguar has modernised it further, with a new steering wheel, the new Pivi Pro infotainment system with an 11.4-inch touchscreen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new E-Pace is £32,575 for the entry level version, all the way up to £50,860 at the top of the range.
