Skoda Enyaq EV SUV is now £2,000 cheaper in the UK

Skoda has just launched a new cheaper version of its popular electric SUV, the Enyaq. The new Enyaq 50 and Enyaq 50 Edition replace the outgoing Enyaq 60 and are on sale now for £2,000 less than the trim they replace. The main difference is the battery, which is now a tad smaller at 52kWh, but gives you 234 miles of WLTP range. There is also one electric motor in use, driving the rear wheels. It has 169bhp and 310Nm of torque. Both versions of the Enyaq 50 support DC charging up to 145kW, which isn't too bad and AC up to 11kW.

The 50 comes with 19-inch alloys, LED headlights, 13-inch infotainment screen which has support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front and rear parking sensors and rear view cameras. Bumping up to the Edition give you LED matrix headlights, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry, wireless charging pad for smartphones with a cooling pad and blind spot monitoring.

The new Enyaq 50 and 50 Edition are on sale now. Prices for the 50 start from £36,970 and for the 50 Edition from £38,585. The existing Enyaq with a much larger 77kWh battery is still available for £44,540 but this does have 348 miles of range.
