Apple will be releasing the next version of macOS next week, on Monday 24th October. Apple announced all of its new operating systems for 2022 back in June this year and so far, tvOS 16, iOS 16, watchOS 9 and a new update for HomePod have been released. iPadOS 16 and macOS 13 have been delayed.

However, starting on Monday next week Apple will be releasing macOS 13 to compatible Mac devices. Some devices have been dropped this year, including the 2013 Mac Pro and any MacBook Air models from 2015-2017. The full list of devices that will be able to get the update is below.

macOS 13 adds a slew of new features and improvements, including many we have gotten used to on iOS 16 for the past month. For starters, iMessage now supports the ability to unsend and edit messages and the Home app has been fully rebuilt and redesigned. In other areas, the Mac becomes even more closely tied with the iPhone, now allowing users to use an iPhone as the FaceTime camera for the Mac and also allowing seamless transfers of FaceTime calls between devices, from or to a Mac and iPhone.
