Farizon, a subsidiary of Chinese car giant Geely is planning on launching its latest electric van in the UK, in 2025. Geely, which has owned Volvo since 2009 and currently owns Lotus, Polestar and others, launched Farizon in 2016 and it primarily focuses on commercial vehicles. The Farizon SV (Supervan) is a bespoke electric vehicle, sitting on a custom EV architecture and will rival the likes of the Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo, Ford E-Transit Custom and the Vauxhall Vivaro Electric.
Farizon will offer the SV in a variety of body lengths and heights. The smallest of the three is 4.99m long and 1.98m tall. The middle size is 5.49m long and 2.18m tall and then the top spec model is 5.95m long, and 2.50m tall. The smallest model is about the same height as the ID. Buzz Cargo and the E-Transit Custom, so fitting in most underground carparks won't be too much of an issue.
Practically seems to be at the forefront of the Supervan, as it will be able to take a payload between 1100kg and 1300kg. This max payload will also depend on what battery is specified, from the star it'll be available with either a 67kWh or a 83kWh battery, with the latter of the two offering up to 225 miles of range. A much larger 106kWh unit will add even more range, however this will be available at a later date.
Inside, Farizon has added seating for three people and it has two displays, one for the driver and a infotainment screen in the middle.
When it is sold in the UK, it will b imported and sold by Jameel Motors, the official distributor for Geely. At this stage, no pricing information is available. For reference the comparable E-Transit Custom costs £44,899 in the UK, excluding VAT and the Volkswagen ID.Buzz is £40,450 excluding VAT.
