At the 2025 New York Motor Show last week, Kia revealed its new K4 hatchback which will go on sale in the USA to join the existing K4 saloon. Kia hasn't said anything about the car coming to the UK and Europe, but if it does it'll likely replace the existing Ceed which at this stage, is pretty long in the tooth.
The K4 pulls a lot of design inspiration from the company's latest electric models, such as the EV3 and more notably, the EV4.
Kia will offer just two trim levels for the K4, with the base trim and there GT-Line, which will naturally have a more sporty design and larger alloy wheels.
Inside, Kia has gone for a very similar design to its latest EV models, with two large screens. One 12.3-inch unit is for the infotainment screen and one for the driver. Just like the EV9, the space in-between the two displays is used for the climate control, meaning amount of buttons below the screen can be kept at a minimum, without feeling overly cluttered.

Like most of the high end Kia models, the K4 also comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as digital key, allowing for a phone based car key which can be shared with other users.
At the moment, Kia has only spoken about the engine choices for the US market. It'll get the choice of a 2.0-litre petrol engine with 147hp and 179Nm of torque. The other engine is a 1.6-litre unit with 190hp and 264Nm of torque.
Kia hasn't spoken about the possibility of the K4 coming to the UK, but given the company's focus, commitment and success with fully electric models, it could be unlikely. Kia is yet to reveal pricing and availability information.
