New Volkswagen Taigo on sale now

New Volkswagen Taigo on sale now

Volkswagen has put the new Taigo on sale in the UK earlier this month, with prices starting at £21,960 for the entry Life trim level.

The car has been on sale as the Nivus in South America since last year and we reported earlier this year that the car would be coming to the UK and Europe and VW has recently announced it. Volkswagen has adapted the car for Europe, with more advanced technology included.

Inside, the Taigo comes with an infotainment screen, up to 9.2-inches in side as well as support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In terms of engines, the Taigo sits on the same platform as the T-Cross, Polo and T-Roc the engines are very similar too. A 1.0-litre petrol is offered with either 94bhp or 108bhp. Going up in the range, a 1.5-litre engine is offered, with 148bhp.

Taigo Life is the entry level model, at £21,960 and comes with black 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, front foglights and heated / adjustable door mirrors. Front and rear parking sensors are also offered, with lane change assist and adaptive cruise control.
