Renault 5 now on sale in the UK from £22,995

Four years on from when the initial concept car was shown off to the public, the new electric Renault 5 is now available to be ordered in the UK. Prices only start from £22,995 in the for the evolution model, rising up to £24,995 for the techno model and then for the top spec iconic five version, its £26,995. However, for the next few weeks, only customers who purchased the R5 R Pass can actually place an order.

Renault is still selling the R5 R Pass for £150 and will be available up until 28th January, costing £150. The main benefits of the R5 R Pass is a priority build slot as well as a die-cast model of the Renault 5. Anyone who hasn't purchased the R5 R Pass can then order as normal from the 29th January. The first deliveries for the Renault 5 will start in spring this year.

The Renault 5 can be had with two batteries and two motors, with the base model being equipped with a 40kWh battery and 193 miles of WLTP range. The motor used with this one is 118bhp. The larger battery is 52kWh and offers 253 miles of WLTP range and has a more powerful 148bhp motor.

Inside, Renault hasn't scrimped on technology, coming with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen as standard, LED headlights, Apple CarPlay and rear parking sensors. Crucially, it comes with a heat pump as standard on every trim level.
