Russia has now blocked access to Twitter

Twitter looks to have been blocked in Russia, following on from a country wide ban by the government on Facebook. Interfax has reported the news this week. Various news sites have reached out to Twitter who said they are currently not seeing anything different to what was reported earlier this week.

Earlier this week, Twitter confirmed that its service might be unavailable for some people in Russia but there have been multiple reports of the service being unavailable and access being throttled.
