Super Mario Run will be on Android this week

Super Mario Run was announced along side the iPhone 7 last September, the Nintendo CEO presented the new game on stage and said it’ll be on iOS later in the year, which turned out to be 15th December. Since then the game has only been on iOS.

Apple did bag the temporary exclusive, but Nintendo is now sticking to its promise and will launch the game on Android later the week on the 23rd March. Along with the release to Android, Nintendo will be launching version 2.0 of the game, which will add new characters and a challenge to complete which will give you World 1-4 for free.

The deal with Apple certainly paid off for the once somewhat struggling company, the decision to not offer the game for free was a good one. Not as many users actually paid as Nintendo would have hope, but the game had made $53 million revenue by the end of January this year.
