Tesla has launched a new public website where both Tesla and non Tesla owners can vote on where new locations for Supercharger charging stations will be. Earlier this year, the 35,000th Supercharger bay was installed and the company isn’t planning on slowing down anytime soon it seems. At this rate, this shows a 35% year-over-year increase in new locations over the past few years.

The new voting site can be found here and allows anyone with a Tesla account to cast a vote for where a new location should be. Last month, Tesla tweeted out asking for location suggestions, the suggestions that had the most likes were going to be included on the website you see today. There are 183 locations throughout the glove, including North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.

Tesla will let you vote, only if you have a Tesla account and you’ll be able to vote five times for the locations you wish to see new charging stations. Anyone with or without a Tesla can vote and this is good for customers who are looking to purchase a Tesla, but know there isn’t a good place to charge near them or on a route they do or even for non-Tesla cars, as there is a trial to allow non-Tesla cars charge at Supercharger locations.

Each user gets to vote five times, then after three months the cycle will reset and you can vote again. However, Tesla does say that this voting website won’t be how the company actually decides where a new charger location will be, it’ll just help them gauge demand.
