Tesla no longer including mobile charger with new car purchases

Tesla, as of a few days ago has stopped including the mobile charging kit with the purchase of new Tesla cars. Tesla_Adri on Twitter first spotted the issue earlier last week and shortly afterwards, Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed that the news was indeed true. The mobile charger has long been included with new purchase of Tesla cars and allows the owner to charge the car up from a standard electrical socket, which will be slow but will allow you to add two to three miles of range in around an hour of charging.

The mobile charger usually retails for $275 in the US and to justify the removal of it, Elon Musk said that the sage statistics for it were low. However, after some fuss created on Twitter he later announced that the price would be dropped to $200 and make it more visible to purchase while initially ordering the car. However, he did also say that Tesla recommends getting the Tesla wall connecter installed before your car arrives.
