The first Rivian DC fast charging sites are going live this week

The first DC fast charging sites from Rival are due to go live this week in the US, with the first ones launching in Colorado and California. Initially, there is to be three sites in the US and all supporting DC fast charging, at over 200kW.

The Rivian Adventure Network will available for both Rivian owners and users who have any other EV, however the DC fast chargers will only be available for Rivian trucks, for everyone else Level 2 is available. The first site opened yesterday in Salida, Colorado and has four DC fast chargers and four Level 2 chargers.

Rivian has said that the other two are due to open later this week and will be in Inyokern and Bishop, California. The company has said that, where it is possible the charging stations will use renewable energy.
