Ionity opens the largest fast charging EV hub in Ireland

A few days ago, Ionity opened up, what it is calling the largest fast charging hub for EVs in Ireland to date. The location has 12 units in total, each capable of 350kW DC speeds, to keep up with the demands of the latest EV models.

The hub is located at the Charlestown Shopping Centre in Dublin, Ireland and is pretty close to junction 5 on the M50, which is one of the busiest motorways in the country. Even though it is located at a shopping centre, Ionity has thankfully made sure these are open 24/7.

Ionity charges €0.66/kWh (£0.55/kWh) and they can be found on Octopus Electorverse here.

While the UK has pretty bold ambitions to have 100% of all new vehicles sold to be pure EV by 2030, Ireland is a little bit behind in this regard. The country wants 40% of all new cars to be pure EV by 2030. To help prepare, local authorities in and around Dublin will be installing 200 new charging points in various council owned car parks.
