Third beta of OS X El Capitan, watchOS 2 and iOS 9 released

Today, Apple has released the third versions of the OS X El Capitan beta, watchOS 2 beta and iOS 9 beta to registered developers. All three operating systems were released exactly a month ago at Apple’s WWDC conference in June.

OS X El Capitan beta 3

The third build of El Capitan comes just over two weeks after the second version, this version brings a brand new version of two-factor authentication as well as some new folders in the Photos app for selfies and screenshots, these folders also show up in iOS 9 beta 3.

OS X El Capitan doesn’t really focus on end user and drastic changes but heavily focuses on performance and imprventns to how certain elements operate such as Mission Control.

iOS 9 beta 3

The third version of iOS 9 has also been released, like El Capitan just two weeks after the last build. So far we have noticed that there are new folders for selfies and screenshots in Photos, the new two-factor authentication version and some enhancements to the Battery menu in Settings. iPad also gets a new 4×4 view in folders.

iOS 9 is actually quite a significant upgrade, no where near as extensive as iOS 8 was, but it brings some nice changes and useful features. iOS 9 brings a new intelligence feature which learns to users habits, people contacted, apps used and locations. Maps also gets a transit feature which now has public transit information.

Most of all iOS 9 has battery life improvements, bringing an extra hour of battery life and a Lower Power Mode which makes the phone last an extra three hours of life.

watchOS 2 beta 3

Along with OS X, iOS 9 the third beta of watchOS the operating system for the Apple Watch was seeded to developers.
