This is an odd occurrence, Twitter is down. As of around 10:30pm BST the website, apps and APIs all stopped working and it seems to be affecting the company globally, Down Detector has over 58,000 people log an error on its site and while the website loads, you just get this error:

Twitter has acknowledged the issue and said on its status page “Investigating – We are currently investigating this issue. More updates to come.” – guess we’ll just have to hang tight and use some other social media platforms.
