Uber launches in Edinburgh

Uber is proving controversial but also extremely popular, as it seems the company is expanding to more and more cities every week, this time Uber is launching in Edinburgh, the second city in Scotland that service is now available in, having previously launched in Glasgow last moth. Uber is relatively easy to use once you have the app and created an account.

According to Uber, they have had more than 65,000 people open the app before last Friday before the launch.

“We have been blown away with the reception we received in Glasgow, so are really excited to be launching in Edinburgh today. – Max Lines, General manager.

Earlier this year, Uber has had some issues with the taxi market who want a regualtion set in place for private taxi vehicles.
