Ubiquiti announces the new U6 Pro, on sale now

Ubiquiti has today revealed the new UniFi U6 Pro, its third UniFi access point to date that supports 802.11ax, or WiFi 6. Ubiquti launched the U6 Lite and U6 LR earlier this year but this new model takes it up a notch, with support for 160MHz channels, 4×4 MIMO and more.

The U6 Pro is capable of 5.3 Gbps, according to Ubiquiti and has 4×4 MIMO on 5GHz and 2×2 MIMO on 2.4GHz. 5GHz is also supported at up to 160MHz channel widths.

It is powered by 802.3at PoE+, or with a 802.3at PoE from Ubiquiti, or a 48v passive PoE injector too.

The U6 Pro is on sale on Ubiquiti’s official store for $149 in the US only for now, with a maximum order quantity limited to 2 per customer. No doubt it’ll be available in the UK and EU soon.
