Ubiquiti introduces new UISP Router aimed at the WISP market

Earlier last week, Ubiquiti released the brand new UISP Router, following on from the release of the UISP Switch around a week ago. The UISP Router is now the second device on sale in the new UISP product line and is aimed at WISPs and MSPs.

Like the UISP Switch, the router version has eight PoE ports, outputting at 27v and one SFP port for uplinking or downlinking to a fibre based service. It can be used with the UISP application for remote management, gathering statistics and more.

For those WISP deployments, you can pair the UISP Switch with something like the EdgePower 24 and a lead acid battery for a seamless and easy to use UPS battery backup system.

The new UISP Router is on sale now in the US, EU and UK via the official Ubiquiti online store. Priced at $159 in the US, €169.40 in the EU and £140.36 in the UK.
