Ubiquiti launches new GigaBeam Plus 60GHz PtP radio

Last week, Ubiquiti quietly announced a new GigaBeam model – the GigaBeam Plus, a compact PtP 60GHz radio with quite a large range, of up to 1.5km. This follows on from the smaller GigaBeam model which shares its form factor with the UBB and also has a 5GHz backup radio and this model doesn’t. It can handle 1Gbps plus throughput and up to 1.5km of range using the built in 35dBi antenna.

Ubiquiti has it up for pre-order currently on store.ui.com for $179 in the US and in the UK for £166.70.
