Ubiquiti seems to always expanding its product line and one of the latest is the new G3 Instant for UniFi Protect. This is the newest G3 camera in a long while and some people might be confused, since the company has been launching G4 cameras recently, with the G4 Pro, G4 Bullet, G4 Doorbell and just a few weeks ago, the G4 PTZ. From what we can gather, G3 just refers to the fact it hasn’t quite met the quality level for G4, which seems to be 1440p at the minimum and the new G3 Instant is only 1080p which for $29 / £27.24 is very good value.

The G3 Instant doesn’t use PoE like Ubiquiti’s other camera, besides the Micro which is very expensive when compared to this, but instead uses WiFi at 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Powered by USC Type C with the power supply included. Ubiquiti also say the Instant 802.3af PoE to USB adapter will work for places Ethernet cables can be ran to, but not traditional outlets. It can be wall mounted too, with included mounts.

Like the G3 Micro, the G3 Instant also features two way audio. Currently out of stock on the US website, it can be ordered here for $29 While in the UK and Europe it is up for pre-order here at £27.24.
